Vici Hoban Read ~ creative director
Jiggle & Jam was founded in 2006 by professional musician, baby yoga/massage instructor and local mum Vici Hoban Read.
From a family of musicians, Vici has been making music her whole life, graduating with a 2:1 BA Hons in Music & continuing to update her knowledge & skills regularly with highly-regarded CPD courses, which have helped shape Jiggle & Jam's fun & informed approach to mini music making on the move!
Vici has enjoyed an eclectic career path as musician, cardiology nurse, journalist, massage therapist, infant massage/yoga instructor and - since 2006 - early childhood music practitioner!
Passionate about wildlife and the outdoors, Vici commenced her Level 3 Forest School Leader training with Surrey Wildlife Trust in 2020. Following delays due to Covid, she qualified in 2022. Her Forest School training has strengthened her belief in the transformational effect on children and their families of time spent outdoors engaging with the natural world.
Over the Pandemic, Jiggle & Jam moved outdoors. This proved so enjoyable and beneficial that, in 2021, Vici developed NatureJam - Music and Movement in Nature: outdoor learning that combines the therapeutic effects of singing, music-making and time spent in Nature. She plans to add music-infused Forest School sessions from 2022-2023.
Born & raised in Wimbledon, Vici now lives in Motspur Park with her husband and two children.
A member of professional community musician association Sound Sense, Vici holds both an up-to-date Enhanced DBS (CRB) check and public liability & professional indemnity insurance.
